For the Studio Portraits section of the Photography module. This photo features Kira facing away from a single softbox light, in front of an illuminated white background. The photo was slightly over-exposed so this was corrected in Photoshop.

Hands Of Time
This composite image was created in Adobe Photoshop, based on an image of a large clock. Seperately, I took a photo of a friend’s pointing hand, and using the image-editing software, replaced the hands of the clock with the actual human hands, giving a literal representation the the phrase ‘the hands of time’.
Night
This photo is a sequel to Blur, however this time I experimented with the long shutter speed at night. Again, an iconic London bus is featured, but this time it is less recognisable and not immediately obvious. This photo has a 5-second exposure, and a tripod was used to ensure a steady shot.
Trees
This photo was taken on the recent photography trip to Portsmouth, UK, however I am using it for the task requiring a photo edited using masks, blends and channel manipulation. Using a background layer, I enhanced the red of the wrappers using the RGB layers tool, before creating a duplicate grayscale layer. Then, using the mask feature, I removed portions of the layer to allow the colours to show through.
Boat
This image was taken in Portsmouth, UK. It is a close-up of the hull of an upturned rowing boat – clearly painted blue at one point, but now scratched and discoloured from years of seawater and hauling the boat along the sand and concrete to where it is kept. There is a lot of detail in the scratches, with every small section of the hull being unique. Even though it was taken with just an iPhone camera, I am really pleased with the detail and colours. I also like the way that you can’t tell what the photo is of – until the explanation, it is just an interesting pattern.
